Tension Coefficients Apparatus
Product Code : JA-ELA-5519
The Tension Coefficients Apparatus (SKU JA-ELA-5519) is a wall-mounted statics experiment supplied by JaincoLab for finding the forces in the members of a three-dimensional frame. A jib is restrained by two chain ties, making a triangulated space structure. The foot of the jib is pivoted to a wall-mounted plate, and the wall ends of the two ties can be moved independently to change the geometry. The jib and both ties carry spring balances, so the member forces are read directly and compared with values found by the method of tension coefficients.

Scope of supply and ordering
The apparatus is supplied by JaincoLab with its spring balances and instruction manual; weights, wall fixings, quantity and packing are confirmed on the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a knurled collar fitted?
After the load is hung, the collar is used to return the frame to its unloaded geometry before the spring balances are read.
Which members carry spring balances?
