The Reading Telescope (SKU JA-ELA-5404) is a laboratory telescope made by JaincoLab for reading a scale or sighting a mark from a distance in physics practicals. Uses of the reading telescope
In the telescope-and-scale method the telescope is focused on a scale seen in a small mirror, so a tiny rotation of the mirror shows as a large change in the reading at the cross-line.
- Telescope-and-scale readings of small deflections, for example with a mirror galvanometer
- Reading a distant scale in elasticity (Young's modulus) experiments
- Sighting a cross-line on a fixed mark in B.Sc. physics practicals
Scope of supply and ordering
Each reading telescope is supplied on its own; the retort stand and clamp for mounting are separate, and the specification chosen, quantity, packing and lead time are fixed on the quotation.
